Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET®) offered study through a network of course providers in more than 66 countries and translated into 19 different languages. A total of 61,000 students took the qualification examination last year.
As a well-known wine importer and distributor, Summergate also devotes itself into wine culture promotion and gained a high reputation in China. Summergate’s training network covers many cities across China to provide professional wine knowledge support for our sales and distributors. At the same time, Summergate is authorized by Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET®) in the UK. For many years, we provided trainings of WSET level 2 and level 3 courses nationwide. Now with Jennifer Docherty MW (Master of Wine) leads the education and training team in Summergate, our courses can provide you a good learning system and excellent experience in wine.
Over the years, hundreds of excellent students have taken WSET courses provided by us. With the professional knowledge in wine, some of our students became the F&B manager in international hotel groups, purchasing manager and distributors, and some discovered their great interest in wine and became a wine educator.
Jennifer Docherty is the first ethnically Chinese and Mandarin speaking Master of Wine. Born in Vancouver, Canada, and left home at the age of 18, Jennifer was a fashion designer in New York before making her way to London, where inspired her to change careers from fashion to wine. After years of study, she eventually achieved the Master of Wine in 2015 and has traveled to wine regions around the world. She now resides in Hong Kong, where she serves as Head of Product & Commercial for Summergate Fine Wines & Spirts, adding to her 14 year experience in the wine business.

Graduated from China Agricultural University, major in Viticulture & Enology, and passed WSET Diploma in 2017. Emily has close to 10 years of experience in wine industry, providing training (including WSET) for Summergate's internal and external teams and customers through all channels.
